Empaths and Codependents: Your Arrogance is Preventing Your Growth

I would venture to say most of us prevent our own growth, with arrogance.

However, Empaths and Codependents, may have a very difficult time addressing that they do this, because of the way they exist in the world, and how much the world reinforces them being this way. Some of the other groups that have difficulty addressing their arrogance are addicts/alcoholics, and those who are Sociopathic, Narcissistic, or Psychopathic.

Who are Empaths and Codependents?

There are major similarities between the self-defined group of “Empaths”, and those who fit into the category of “Codependent”.

After all, both groups often take pride in self-sacrifice, service, caretaking, and being a healer. Both are highly vigilant and aware of others feelings and needs (or at least believe they are), often before the other party is aware of their own. Both often grew up in a dysfunctional (if not abusive or neglectful) home environment. Both folks often believe they know what is best for…
