Much like Christopher Reeve’s Superman, there is always a hidden part of us that we rarely reveal to others. It is in this part that very often resides the best of oneself.
For some, the need for recognition is such that they will do anything to demonstrate that they are righteous and noble. The problem is not so much this need for approval from others, but the real reason they do it.
Superman doesn’t have this need for recognition. He has a gift and knows he must use it to do good around him. It’s not for his own sake. That is the secret of the nobility.
Nobility is not acquired at birth. Our actions define it over time!
