Getting off the self help train

Understanding the value of self acceptance

The year was 1990. As a newly minted immigrant to Canada, I was eager to fit in my adopted culture.

Coming from a culture that had a simple eat-work-play-sleep-repeat system attitude to one that offered a buffet of options, if one was willing to rub the self help lamp, was mesmerizing to me. They said;
