Giving makes a big difference for those who need it the most

Giving evokes generosity and a holiday spirit. In times of crises and trials, giving and gratitude take on even greater importance regardless of the time of year.

GiveWP, an online donation and fundraising plugin for WordPress, certainly emphasizes traditional year-end holidays to draw contributions for a host of causes. Yet, the company continues its work no matter what the calendar says.

Taylor Waldon, a content strategist at GiveWP, and digital marketing expert Madalyn Sklar discussed how social media in general — and Twitter in particular — can be a force to serve the community.

“We’re gearing up for a busy giving season,” Waldon said. “This year, using Twitter for the greater good is more important than ever.”
