I have to be honest; I’m a big dude. I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life. It has always been difficult for me to lose weight and even harder to keep it off. I have a history of losing weight only to gain it right back, with a little extra attached. Having some spare time at home during this pandemic has given me a chance to reevaluate some of my decisions and lifestyle choices. I had to come to grips with how unhealthy I had become.

When I saw that being overweight was a significant risk factor making you more vulnerable to severe complications from Covid-19, I realized it was time to make a change. I knew that any sort of fad diet or weight loss scheme wasn’t going to work and was unsustainable in the long-term. I needed to find a solution that would fit my lifestyle. From my experience, I knew that if I had to count calories or stick to a strict diet, I would eventually revert to my old ways.

I began to scour health-related podcasts and books for tips that I could use on my weight loss journey. I found five key, workable components that I knew I could incorporate into my daily life. Hopefully, you will find these tips useful as you embark on your quest for healthy living.
