My Sixth Grade Teacher’s Legacy

I’ve heard that memories are more likely to stick with us when they’re paired with strong emotions. I guess that’s why I remember sixth grade with such fondness. In the fifty-odd years that have flown by since I sat in Mrs. Kochley’s classroom, I’ve come to the conclusion that the overarching feeling she must have planted in my heart could only have been love.
