People hate silence.

They would do anything to avoid it.

The idea of meditative silence is slowly fading away into a thing of the past.

The sound of silence is not the one where your ears are ringing. It is the one where you are alone with your thoughts. Floating through your consciousness. Exploring your past. Interpreting the present. Planning the future.

Stop cutting your own voice off

Your voice should be precious to you.

The world’s technologies have evolved more than anyone ever expected. New technologies. Faster internet with better connectivity to the entire world.

But our very important brains have not evolved enough to accept all the world's information at once.

Our mind needs silence to gather its thoughts and make some sense of it all.

It is only logical to let ourselves be one with our psyche.

The World will keep Spinning, You Don’t have to join it.

There is this idea floating out there that we have to keep doing something.

Doing. Doing the work. Doing and nothing else.

We tend to believe that if our brain comes to a standstill, we won’t be able to deal with it.

This Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) is way too prominent in a world that doesn’t seem to accept that silence is the only place where some actual reflection is done.

At least consider the possibility that the world will not stop spinning if you do.

Reflection is only when you look at yourself in Silence.

Boredom is a crime, it seems in today’s age. No one, least of all me, is willing to accept the silence and its prevailing boredom. Try taking a pen and scribble on a blank page. Try. Explore. The Earth is too big not to explore. Better yet, start with yourself.

You don’t have to be noisy or continue to listen to the noise.

You can just about do well without the noise.

The idea is not to keep being secluded.

If an irritated person goes to the Himalayas to find peace, that person may just find it. But when he does return, he won’t be able to cope with the urban noise. The urban noise will overwhelm him.

The point here is not to become a hermit in your subconscious. But it is to understand, explore and accept that the most satisfying things one can have come from understanding oneself first.

Final Thoughts

Silence gives you a chance to introspect.

You find out who you are in this world. You let your mind be free. You let go of the shackles of info-age and become sane again.

The point of silence and boredom isn’t to get rid of all the phones and TVs and computers.

The idea of letting a little boredom into your life is to go on a journey through oneself in the silence and get the rare chance to make a difference in your life.

Accept boredom because silence is what we need in this noisy world.
