Miracles Happen Every Moment
Believe in your heart that you are meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles — Roy T. Bennett
One of my childhood friends, (we went to the same college together), was in a crisis in February this year. She got a letter that her house was going to be repossessed. She was owing about six months in mortgage fee and the lender has been unreasonable to agree to a reschedule.
“You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.” Kahill Gibran
Apparently, she has been in talks with them for more than two months, that she was doing all she could do to renegotiate. She said she did not want to borrow more and was expecting them to be reasonable. According to her, they had no reason to. She has never defaulted and now for the first time, they had to be reasonable. So she was ready to challenge them in court. She wanted them to renegotiate the amount to be spread over her subsequent payment from July, this year. The lender refused.
A Seemingly Deadend Makes Her Fear The Worse
So, according to her, she searched the internet for the local barrister to take up her case. After meeting three and expressing her dilemma, no one of them agreed to represent her. One even advised her to hand over the key and walk away. According to that one, she would also walk away from her debt.
‘’There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.’’ Albert Einstein
She was counting the days and the letter finally arrived, inviting her to the court. She was not able to sleep on the eve of the court day. She was not even in a position to pray, as she was too disturbed. But she did ask God for support in her spirit and strongly believed in her heart for a miracle, even though she was doubting and not sure, how she was going to represent herself and come out triumphant.
On the day of the hearing, she arrived early and sat along with others at the designated room for all those involved in one case or the others. This room is not where the barristers are. According to her, she looked around each of the people sitting in the room and was wondering how many of them were without the usual legal representation.
Then suddenly, a tall lanky man came in, in an impeccable black suit. She knew immediately that he is a barrister. The without much ado asked, ‘Is there anyone here without a legal rep,? She quickly got up, and the man led her to a chat room. She narrated her story. ‘’Fine’’, the man, ‘’you have a rep in me.’’ In a panic, she asked the man for his fees, thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, I am not going to be able to afford this impeccable man.’ The man just, let us see to the case first, and I will let you know later.’
The case was called, and the man argued that since my client has agreed to spread the outstanding over a period of six months, starting in July, I see no reason why the house should be foreclosed. My client was in a difficult situation, which has just been resolved and she is now back on her feet.
The magistrate asked her if she was willing to start in July in agreement in spreading what was outstanding. She answered in the affirmative. The judgement was in her favour.
“The more you pray, the less you’ll panic. The more you worship, the less you worry. You’ll feel more patient and less pressured.” Rick Warren.
Out of the court, she flipped through her handbag to give the man her business card, but the man refused, and said, ‘’just let me give you my number, and we can discuss the term on the phone tomorrow.’’ So the man wrote down his name and phone number for her.
The following morning, she eagerly called to thank the man, but the person on the other side said, there was not a person with that name there. She described the man, but nope, we don’t have such a person here. She was disappointed and called again after two hours, nope. She has no contact.
She ended up having a free legal representation, but she wished she would have been happier, just to say another ‘’THANK YOU’’ to him. Suddenly, she realised this man was an angel sent in answer to her prayer.
Prayer is an access to a power that is beyond your ordinary capacity
There can be many challenges in life, and it is important to know that you can overcome any challenges. If things seem to be getting out of hand, know that you have the capacity in you to turn things around.
People who pray are able to enrich themselves with tremendous strength and power. Your inner spirit knows where it can receive its strength, its guidance, and its direction, but also know that there is a power beyond your own physical capabilities, and can make things happen on a level that is beyond you.
“Let us never forget to pray. God lives. He is near. He is real. He is not only aware of us but cares for us. He is our Father. He is accessible to all who will seek Him.” Gordon B. Hinckley
Prayer is infallible. It will always meet with a response. You can never pray in vain. You can never pray sincerely without getting an answer. When you think you have been unanswered, it is because you have not recognised what has come back. It could be increased strength. Sometimes prayer does not take the situation away, but it does give us the increased strength (otherwise known as Grace) to deal with it, usually because you are meant to deal with it.
Prayer will always be answered in accordance with the laws of Nature, (spiritual laws), and will not work adversely. It will only work for good, both for you and others around you.
