New York Stock Exchange plans own NFT marketplace

Soon, the venerable New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) could gain a foothold in the NFT market. As Bloomberg reports, the trading venue filed a patent application for its crypto marketplace. This will reportedly be used primarily for trading NFTs. Beyond that, however, it will also be possible to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. And as if that weren’t enough, the NYSE is even planning its cryptocurrency.
