I have recently watched “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” on Disney+.

I had watched various Star Wars movies before, but I decided to watch the entire series — each episode from 1 to 11 on Disney+. I started with Episode 1.

The Star Wars franchise is indeed one of the most impressive enterprises in the history of science fiction and filmmaking. The combined box office revenue of the films is more than $10 billion, which means Star Wars is the second-highest-grossing film franchise in history (Marvel is the first, with nearly $23 billion). The Star Wars movies were nominated for Oscars 37 times, and I can see why.

Phantom Menace is a masterclass in Jedi Knights, as it tells the story of how everything has started. The film introduces two Jedi Knights, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. They escape from a death trap and end up in Tatooine. On this planet, they become friends with young Anakin whose dream is to become a Jedi.

What I loved most about Phantom Menace is the scope of worldbuilding and storytelling. The imaginative worlds that are built in this movie are breathtaking. The film is full of colorful cityscapes, futuristic skylines, and desert sand dwellings.

In particular, I fell in love with the underwater city of Jar Jar Binks surrounded by transparent membranes. I wondered how living in such an underwater city would feel like. How would an underwater civilization look like?

If you love discovering new worlds, Star Wars is waiting for you with all the epic adventures and razzle-dazzle. All of the Star Wars movies are now streaming on Disney+.
