Stupidity

An acrostic poem written out of frustration

--

Stillness belies the animated fantasy inside

Tired focus on the yelling woman hides the

Unending daydream behind blithe

Pretend of paying attention to her.

I am frolicking with Apsaras,

Dancing away underneath darkened shades

Idyllic pleasures conjured in my brain,

Trivialize important matters of reality.

Your lectures don’t penetrate my stupid head, unfortunately, For I am far away, caught in my own trap of a nefarious imagination.
