Your daily routine matters on Dreamstime

For so many years my life was on autopilot, I did not have any specific routine in my life and the day just past by one by one without me notes what was going on around me.

A day came up were I realized I had to take responsibility for my life and make some changes if I was going to live my life to the fullest.

Having a routine in our life is good and healthy and it helps us get more out of life. In the last couple of years, I have been building up a good routine that has served me well and open my eyes to new opportunities and prepare me to deal with a new challenge.

Routine matters, it prepares us and helps us get through difficult situations and challenges in life, it also prepares us for a big opportunity in life.

Be prepared, we never know when we have to face challenges situation or when a big opportunity comes our way, if we are not prepared, it is most likely we´ll miss out of that opportunity or it will be much harder than it has to be to deal with challenges situation.

“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine”. — John C Maxwell

It has not always been easy but totally worth it

Discipline and Perseverance, changing a habit and building a new routine is not an easy thing to do, that’s why discipline and perseverance is an important element in this journey and helps us make the change we need, to make it permanent.

It is not making the changes that are most challenging it is how we respond when we are about to give up that matters the most.

Falling out of track is normal, so don’t punish yourself, just stand back up and keep on going.

Your level of success is determined by your level of discipline and perseverance.” — Anonymous

2017 I started to change my habits, one by one by building a routine in my life that would help me get a more meaningful and fulfilled life, more happiness, and more joy and personal growth. This journey has not always been easy but totally worth it.

I realize I had to stop waiting for the right time or right moment to come, the time is now, so stop procrastinate and wait for the perfect moment, it will never come so create it yourself and start building a routine that serves you the best possible way in your life journey.

When I started changing my life, I was determined to make them last, so I decided to only focus on implement one new habit at once. I wanted to build a new habit that would help me grow and be the best version of myself.

By doing that step by step I have managed to make a lot of good changes in my life.

Changing old habits and create a new routine does not happen overnight. So please don’t try to eat the elephant in one piece take one bite at a time and enjoy the journey.

What did I change!

I started to put a focus on my sleeping habit and morning routine, go to bed earlier and wake up earlier and erase the snooze button.

Now I have some time for myself in the morning, which helped me be more aware and set the focus for the day.

Sleep is very important for our brain, and by getting a good sleep we get better focus throughout the day.

Snoozing is not doing us any good, if you want to sleep longer than put your alarm on the time you are going to wake up.

An exercise routine, start small and build on it, find what kind of exercise fits you best.

I don’t know how often I started out on full speed and after a few weeks being exhausted and give up.

This time, I started on slower temp by doing exercise in my living room for 15 minutes a day or go out for 30 minutes’ walk, just to get my mind into the game.

Today I work out with my husband regularly and I have been doing this now for over 2 years and I could not imagine my life without it.

This has not only given me more physical strength, but my self-confidence has also grown, I have more energized throughout the day, positivity and optimism, I have more discipline and perseverance and I and my husband have a much stronger relationship which is a bonus to it all.

My social life. Be more connected to my friends and family and building a strong healthy relations ship, the ones that support you no matter what is going on in your life. I could not imagen how important it is until I had to face some challenges situation in my life, the support is priceless, and it gave me so much strength.

Constantly learning something new, reading, learning new things from your life experience, from others around you, etc.

Conclusion!

So, in my journey of changing my old habits and create a new routine I quickly realized how important routine is and how much good it can do, but today I realized how powerful it is to have a good routine!

Never give up, if you fall doesn’t give up, stand back up and keep on going, what helps me is knowing the “Why”, that gives me motivation when the situation gets tough.

Don’t let anything get in your way and stop you from doing what you want to do.

We are the biggest obstacle in our life so, whatever you do, don’t snooze yourself throughout life, then a lot of opportunities will slip through your fingers, embrace the challenge, have fun and enjoy life.
