You’ve probably heard about the phrase: “the 6th man” in basketball. If you haven’t, there is a movie called “the 6th man” where a teammate scores a slam dunk and suffers a heart attack while hanging on the rim. His brother who is also a teammate calls on him for support as the team begins to suffer loses without him. His ghost shows up and helps the team to surprising wins. Well, we may have a real-life twelfth man in football. He is one of the most, if not the most, consistent central midfielder in the premier league. The French adore him, and his teammates have nothing else other than their love and admiration for him. Indeed, he is loved amongst fans and players alike.

As a Chelsea fan, I love Hazard and Willian, two players who gave their skills for the team’s benefit while still at the club. They were both skilful and unpredictable, and that is what was expected of them. Hazard himself was a charm and charismatic both on and off the pitch before departing for Real Madrid. However, there is one other whose shine cannot be hidden. A player who plays with his shadow and his teammates can definitely testify as witnesses to this. Even Eden Hazard once declared in 2017: “I think I’m playing with twins!” as he heaps praises on his now former…
