INNOVATIVE IDEAS
#This Kinda Happened To Me
Starting a revolution one tag at a time
This happened to me.
Well, sort of. Not really. Okay, it did — but with a twist.
That seems to be the foundation of most of my articles. They usually have at least a sliver of truth.
Don’t we all write what we know?
“Write what you know,” Mark Twain said.
You may have heard of him. He “challenged the fundamental issues that faced the America of his time; racism, evolving landscapes, class barriers, access to education and more.” And he told us to write what we know.
So I do it. You do it. Let’s just admit that we all do it.
Embellish. Garnish. Exaggerate. Fucking all-out lie.
Like the very real story that I wrote about something that actually happened to someone else — but I pretended it was my narrative.
