What People Get Wrong About Job Satisfaction

Job satisfaction is a two-sided matter.
You either love your job or you hate it. But what if you had a third side of the coin?
What if, instead of having to choose a side, you were indifferent?
Let’s look at the silver lining of this epidemic of lay-offs as I have just joined them.
You are fine. It is fine. And the world spins on.
The point of a lay-off shouldn’t be that you can self-loathe in your room. You think of it as a bedrock for the failure that you thought was inevitable. The mindset shift is that you were meant to be laid-off to realize a few things.
You are not in charge of your employment.
Now, this is not a way to hate on the employers, but a way to enlighten you as a fellow worker, employee, or a person who ‘just’ goes to work.
You aren't the person who is going to decide on your employment unless you work your butteroo off. The idea here is that employees can change.
You are easily replaceable.
