When I tell you I love you
When I tell you I love you, I expect you to say the same. I expect roses and chocolate; kisses and laughter.
When I tell you I love you, I expect a place besides my own to cower in when I want to not feel alone.
When I tell you I love you, I expect honesty and truth, but I’m not sure you understand that.
When I tell you I love you, I no longer want to feel anxiety. I want you to take up your sword and shield and vanquish that beast with me, because I have yet to do it on my own.
