Probiotics are a dietary supplement that are a part of our healthy daily routine. They are part of our regimen for gut health and published trials have shown it can help with diarrhea in infants and children.
Probiotics can help harmonize the intestinal flora as they contain strains of microorganisms (similar to what you find in yogurt, consumed by children) and they are recommended during and after antibiotic use.
For a while, I had difficult time finding a good option for kids. With the rise in popularity in probiotics, it can be difficult to decide which one to use and then finding one that easy for your kids to take can get even trickier.
We had found a brand that I love, but my oldest daughter wasn't a fan of taking them. When we received the Valosun BioPron Junior Probiotic to review, I knew giving it to her would be easy.
The junior probiotic is for children one month and older, comes in individual pouches that can be stirred in milk, water, juice etc…and it has a light vanilla flavor. The daily dose is just one satchel a day and it contains Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus and prebiotic blend.
My daughter likes to have smoothie every day so I just tossed it into her smoothie before I whirled it up and just like that, she enjoyed her daily probiotic had no complaints. Yes!
Even when we can’t do a smoothie, the probiotic she doesn't mind the probiotic mixed with a little water.
