AGI Vs ANI (Artificial General Intelligence Vs Artificial Narrow Intelligence)
There are Two Type of AI(Artificial Intelligence).
- AGI(Artificial General Intelligence)
- ANI(Artificial Narrow Intelligence)
Here we can discuss the detail of these types of AI.
ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence):
Model perform especially a single task is categorized into ANI. There is lots of progress we can see in Artificial Narrow Intelligence from past few years.
e.g.
- Smart speaker
Here you think that smart speaker is doing more then one task for example they are doing to here our voice and then start the music. This two task cannot complete by one model. Actually when you speak one Model hears your voice and then send input to your another model that can actually play music. Then their is two model for playing your music.
- Self Driving Cars
Another Question Arrive here that self driving cars also do more then one task then how did they do. This answer is very simple that one model did not do all task. every task has different model to do that task and complete the task. If car want to know about the position of other traffic then radar return the position then if break require another model work on break system of cars.
- AI To Do Web Search
Artificial Narrow Intelligence(ANI) also used in Web search. when you search your task on web then they use AI for this task.
- AI Application in Farming or in a factory
Now a days AI is used in almost all type of farming purpose and also used in almost every type of factory to make work easier and early to complete.
- AI In Agriculture
many Robotics that we are used in Agriculture is basically working using the AI technology and also AI based app developed that can check the condition of crop that ready and also check the Crop disease that effect your crop. And also tell AI how to safe your crop from these Crop disease.
AGI(Artificial General Intelligence):
One model do every type of task like a model can hear, speak, talking and walking. Almost no progress in AGI but in future we can see Progress in AGI. But present days says that it impossible that all type of task do by one model. we can see progress in AGI after many years or hundreds of years take to implement these technology.
This is the goal to mind build AI.
AGI can do anything a human can do or maybe even be super intelligent and do even more things then any human can do.
For example: You can watch a Bollywood movie called Robot 2.0 where a robot can do any things that can human do and they even do more then human and this robot is more intelligent.

- AGI is an exciting goal for researcher to work on, but it requires technological breakthroughs before we get there.
- It may be decades or hundreds of thousand of years away.
- The rapid progress in ANI has caused people that there’s a lot of progress in AI, Which is true. But people fears that AI take control of earth.
