The idea of collecting data and using it to derive valuable and actionable insights is not new to any business process or organization. Organizations, irrespective of the nature/field of business, have always been fond of data. The business leaders have always put whatever little data that was available to good use, before making key business decisions.

But over the past few years, with many advanced technological developments, there has been a tremendous increase in the availability of data across all industries and sectors. Businesses are slowly moving out from their traditional modes of operation to more of a customer-friendly digital mode of operation.

The higher the number of companies/businesses coming into the digital space, the greater the amount of available data. The latest advancements in digital technologies have made it easy for businesses to collect, store, access, and analyze this data.
