Covid-19 Data Chart on Top 25 Countries by Confirmed Cases and Death Rates

As shown in the chart above as of 3/19/2020 some nations have higher confirmed Covid-19 cases and confirmed death rate percentages than other nations. Specifically, Italy, Iran, Spain, and the United Kingdom stand out as nations with death rates at or above 5%. Italy has the highest death rate at about 8%. Of nations with fewer than 1,000 confirmed cases, Japan has the highest death rate of 3%. It is still early to know the exact reasons for these rates across nations. Having an older population, less testing kits, and slower response times may have contributed to which countries have higher cases and death rates. See Table below for numbers broken down.
