Crafting Your Own Lakehouse Using MS Fabric

What is a Lakehouse?

Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse is a data architecture platform that allows you to store, manage, and analyze structured and unstructured data in one place. It is a scalable and adaptable system that enables organizations to process and analyze enormous amounts of data using several tools and frameworks. It connects with other data management and analytics applications to provide a complete data engineering and analytics solution.

How can you create a Lakehouse in Fabric?

Click on Power BI in the left-hand option below and select the data engineering option, as highlighted in the image:

Now, after clicking the Data Engineering option, check out the first page for Synapse Data Engineering:

Click on the Lakehouse (Preview), and the following pop-up will appear after clicking.

Name yourself Lakehouse with your choice of name. After adding your name and clicking on Create, you're lakehouse will be created

How can we upload a dataset to Lakehouse?

We have already seen how to make a Lakehouse, but if you want to add some files to it, it is very simple to do.
Let's see how we can add the files to it, Click on the file option, and you can add files to it by clicking on the upload option.

Click on the Upload files, and if you want to add new files to it, you can add them or if you want to overwrite existing files, you can just do it by clicking on the below option

Now you have successfully uploaded a file, and you can get an overview of the dataset you have uploaded:
