It’s no surprise that whatever I create is inspired in my life. However, what you might not know is how I turn my everyday life into prompts that keep on giving and propelling my creative practice. That is what I will be talking about at Medium Day, September 19, 2025, 8 PM CEST.

Everyday Prompts for a Better Creative Practice

When we think about writing well, we often imagine beautiful prose and extraordinary themes. In this session, I will argue that all we need for a successful writing practice are ordinary prompts from everyday life. My method relies of actively seeking inspiration instead of waiting to get inspired. I will share the steps I take in my creative process, from finding a scene that can inspire me all the way to building a piece of writing or visual art.
