Anchorage Digital Partners with Securitize Offering Lending Solutions for Two New Crypto Yield Funds

Today Anchorage Digital is proud to announce its partnership with leading digital asset securities firm, Securitize to launch both a Bitcoin (BTC) and USD Coin (USDC) yield fund. Through Anchorage Financing, bitcoin and stablecoin investments will be accessible to a whole new range of participants. As a partner committed to bringing access to digital assets, Anchorage Financing will source lending opportunities for both Securitize’s BTC and USDC yield funds.
Anchorage Digital brings powerful infrastructure support to partners looking to build innovative new offerings in the digital asset industry. Just as Anchorage provided custody support for the Bitwise DeFi index and worked with Prometheum to launch the first digital asset Alternative Trading System, Anchorage offers a compliant, safe way to enable innovative financial instruments.
“There is nothing in the marketplace like the institutional-grade funds we are launching in early June. We selected Anchorage for its proven track record managing digital assets, its risk management system, and its ability to collateralize lending opportunities for us to bring crypto yields to institutional and accredited investors,” said Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize.
Anchorage Financing offers institutions simple solutions to earn yield securely through crypto lending, as well as borrow USD with digital assets as collateral. With the proliferation of DeFi lending instruments over the past couple of years, earning yield on long-term crypto assets has become increasingly popular. But recent events have proven earning yield is much easier than earning yield securely. Additionally, crypto lending carries much greater risk than taking on market risk alone.
Anchorage works to mitigate risks specific to crypto through a series of proactive risk-management strategies, including:
- Secure collateral: Anchorage ensures no risky moves among third party addresses. Collateral stays secure in the Anchorage platform.
- Sophisticated monitoring: Round-the-clock monitoring of multiple reference prices protects against outages and single-source pricing anomalies.
- Broad liquidity backstop: Our liquidity engine is connected to the top global liquidity providers, allowing for immediate action in the unlikely event of liquidation.
For institutions like Securitize, who are transacting billions of dollars in digital assets, there’s no room for error. This is why Anchorage Financing’s secure model, designed to meet the demanding needs of the crypto markets, puts institutions’ fiduciary responsibilities for compliance and security first.
