Since ancient times, the ancestors have painted the Wandjina in rock art and are among the only ancient paintings still being depicted today.
The only place you can find the Wandjina is the Kimberley region in Northeast Australia. The Wandjina beings brought law, culture, and language to the Mowanjum people. The Wandjina are often painted with older images of Gwion Gwion known as Bradshaw figures.
