Call of Duty League Championship Weekend Remains a Live, In-Person Event
The Call of Duty League (CDL) confirmed that its Championship Weekend will remain open to fans, outlining a number of new COVID-19 safety protocols for those who wish to attend. Sports Business Journal’s James Fudge reported on those protocols here. This is the first-ever live, in-person Call of Duty League Championship that fans will be able to attend, as last year’s — the league’s inaugural season — saw teams compete remotely given the state of the pandemic at that time.
New Game Studio to be Launched by Dr Disrespect
This week Dr Disrespect announced that he is going to be launching a game studio via Twitter. He made this news public via a Twitter post directing would-be-applicants to his website (link here) to apply for the position of Studio Head. Per the listing, “Dr Disrespect in partnership with BoomTV is taking on the game industry by storm and incubating a new AA/AAA gaming studio that has a unique twist to it. The studio plans to forge a partnership with a select list of mega influencers and then work closely with them to launch their dream gaming title.”
