Coforma (formerly &Partners) has extended its relationship with Halfaker and Associates LLC (Halfaker), a technology solutions company serving the health, intelligence, defense, and security sectors of the Federal Government, by establishing an 8(a) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)-certified Joint Venture (JV) to deliver innovative design services to the Federal Government.

“We are privileged to be in a position to support one of our small business partners through the Mentor-Protégé program as they continue to grow and successfully navigate the industry,” said Halfaker President and Chief Executive Officer, Dawn Halfaker. “The JV further deepens our partnership and enables us to deliver tangible value for our Federal clients and enable them to better serve their constituents.”

Halfaker has impressive experience in building digital products with the VA, including the 2019 FedHealthIT Innovation Award-winning VA Profile, the FedHealthIT Innovation Award-winning VINCI Program, and the newly-awarded VA T4NG Profile Longitudinal Veteran Record. With the companies’ combined digital services expertise, the new United Digital Partners (UDP) JV will focus on offering Human-Centered Design (HCD) and user experience (UX) to bolster work with Federal security and health agencies.

“The United Digital Partners JV brings together a proven approach to delivering meaningful digital services to the VA that leverages technology, design, and research expertise. We look forward to working with Halfaker in crafting digital solutions that address the unique needs of the VA as they transition, build, and commission products and services for the public,” says Eduardo F. Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer of Coforma.

The Coforma and Halfaker partnership is further solidified through the All Small Mentor-Protégé Program partnership, recognized and facilitated by the Small Business Association. The two companies are both SDVOSB-certified, 8(a)-certified, and public servants at heart. Through the program, Coforma will have the opportunity to learn from Halfaker’s government contracting experience and form joint ventures, such as UDP.

“We look forward to learning from Halfaker’s experience in the government sector through the SBVOSB’s Mentor/Protege program. We’re honored that Halfaker CEO Dawn Halfaker sees promise in Coforma, and would seek to mentor and partner with us. We’re confident that we will learn and grow in unique ways thanks to the relationship established by this pairing,” says Ashleigh Axios, Chief Experience Officer of Coforma.
