Kat is a seasoned project management professional, with over 15 years of experience in account and project management, change management, and process development. In her new role at Coforma, Kat will work at the intersection of client and internal teams — connecting across research, engineering, design, product, and business teams — to see projects through to successful completion while helping grow our overall delivery capabilities. Kat will also lead and develop the PMO to develop best practices and set and maintain project management standards across Coforma.

Throughout her career, Kat has managed large cross-functional teams, translating leadership and stakeholders’ visions into clear, attainable, and effective project plans that are delivered on budget, on time, and on strategy. In her previous position at The Pew Charitable Trusts, she led creative resourcing and headed the project management office for six years. She has also successfully directed complex, multichannel digital products for clients such as the Smithsonian Institution, The Peace Corps, AARP, The Kennedy Center, and the Brookings Institution, helping these organizations achieve their goals and further their missions by identifying and engaging their audiences across online and offline platforms.

Ashleigh Axios, CXO at Coforma, says, “Kat has an ability to make the complex seem simple, to keep an eye on both the big picture and the fine detail, and to work across discipline and sector to find what unites and drives a successful project or program. With Kat, we’re excited to have a new, capable leader in our midst to support the work, teams, clients, and to help ensure quality delivery as we grow.”

As Coforma broadens its reach through newly acquired certifications, including an 8(a) award from the Small Business Administration and a Certified Business Enterprise designation from the District of Columbia, Kat will fill a critical role overseeing the smooth growth and development of projects with our government, nonprofit, and enterprise partners.
