Donald Trump’s full inaugural address http://wapo.st/2iTuIZ1

Just look at the smiles of three of Trump’s closest aides judging by their seating, as he delivers his inaugural address. I’ll let you add your own caption, but their stiffness speaks volumes. Obama’s inauguration eight year ago was a cold frosty day in terms of real temperatures, but Trump’s was a cold frosty one in terms of ‘alternative facts’ he so cherishes.

Trump only extends the Republican rhetoric of George Bush Sr., who famously said “read my lips”, and the rest as they say is history. Except that Trump makes those Republicans look positively liberal and well-attuned to global events (lest you forget, neither Bush administration was).

I posted this video in order to, as Sun-Tsu said, “stay close you your friends, but even closer to your enemies”. The Sonshi Group’s Translation has this eerie quote as its opener… indeed now is the time to wake up & stay sharp.

Those angry will be happy again and those wrathful will be cheerful again, but a destroyed nation cannot exist again, the dead cannot be brought back to life.” Sun Tzu

Said speech was well covered elsewhere, and if a picture is worth a thousand words then this is it from the Atlantic, 20 Jan. 2017 (left) vs. 2009 (right):
