History

If you are into Android you would have known that Kotlin is the first preferred language for Android development since Google I/O held in 2019. Kotlin was introduced by the company Jetbrains in the year 2010 and was open source since 2012.

The team has decided to name Kotlin language after a Russian island, located near the head of the Gulf of Finland, 32 kilometers west of Saint Petersburg in the Baltic Sea named Kotlin Island. There is no need to say how important to learn Kotlin as it was being adopted exponentially every year and already have been adopted by many startups and Fortune 500 companies.
