When games try to make human characters in them as realistic as possible, they will run up against the “uncanny valley” barrier. I think that this game has broken through it in my opinion.

I think the realism in this game comes from the realistic skin texture, facial expression and movements which must have been created through motion capture. The voice of the commentator, the trainer and the crowd are also nicely recorded and delivered appropriately.

The gamplay too is very well presented. You tap and swipe to deliver the different punches and block and dodge. The key is to pick the right time to attack when your energy is maximum. When you land a powerful punch, you see blood spurting out of your opponent’s mouth an nose. And it is very satisfying to see him go down to the mat!

You can improve your strength, stamina and speed in the gym. You can also fight a sparring partner to improve your skills.

For just $1.15 this game is “underpriced”. I highly recommend it!
