ROBOCOP is my favorite Superhero. Developed by Glu, you are right to expect a very good game. Let’s see what we have here.

There’s not much to say about the graphics, just average really. ROBOCOP’s movement however is pretty bad, not ROBOCOP-like at all. I think the developer was taking too many shortcuts here.

In fact, so many shortcuts that you don’t even need to press the “fire” button. The shooting happens automatically. You just need to point and the gun fires by itself. You Also have heat vision which just makes it even easier.

Like Glu’s other games, you just dash from cover to cover by pressing the arrows on the side of the screen and resume shooting. It’s really quite repetitive. I don’t remember ROBOCOP ever needing cover…

I understand it now! They just grafted a new skin onto the templet of “Frontline Commando”. This explains ROBO’s peculiar behavior. I told you, shortcut.

The result of all these is an average shooting game without any wow factor in it. It’s dissapointing that they didn’t bother creating a new templet especially for this game.
