Use Telegram as Instagram photo downloader

A short tutorial

Today I detected a nice feature of Telegram: Instagram photo downloading. How this works, I’ll show you now:

Open your Instagram app
Go to the photo you want to download
Select the option “Copy URL to share” — Now you have the link to the photo in your clipboard
Go to Telegram
Open any chat — You should prefer a chat with nobody or yourself (yes that’s possible)
Paste the link into the text field
Send the link
Now Telegram will show you a preview of the photo. Just click on this preview and select “Save to storage”

This definitely works on Android. I don’t know if it’s possible on iOS too but I think so.
