We have been busy cranking through some key work before we close out 2022. We are excited to share some announcements before the end of the year.

Andromeda Developer Academy — Round 2

Yes, you read that right! We are opening up the next round of applications for the Developer Academy, round deux. We are looking for 10 projects in total for this cohort. Here are the types of projects/groups we are looking to bring in:

Creators — 5 Projects related to this role. This is a more technical user that understands the complexities of systems design. This is a great track for somebody who wants to utilize already created ADO’s to build a dApp. The creator is an App Builder, Solution Architect, has some light JavaScript knowledge, and potentially includes a Web2 background.

Developers — 5 Projects related to this role. We are looking for Rust developers, who are extremely technical and are more comfortable with bits and bytes. A developer will use Rust and create ADOs, and is highly, highly technical.

Here is our timeline for the next academy:

Applications Open: 1/2 thru 1/22

Applications Close: 1/23

Teams Selected and Submit Team Information (Intros, Bios, Summaries of Project, Points of Contact/Leads): 1/30

Academy Kickoff: 2/6

Follow us on Twitter or Discord for more to come this week and for the application to sign up.

IBC

We were able to successfully transfer an NFT via IBC from Juno to Galileo-2 (Andromeda’s testnet chain). We’ve setup a channel between 2 ICS721 contracts and created a cw721 contract for each one. We are now moving on to additional chains and other tests involving ICS20.

Successful IBC Transaction

Partnerships

Great news on the partnership side of things. We are actively working with SEI chain and Injective chain as our next set of integrations with Andromeda. There is MUCH MORE to come here, but please check them out.

ADOs Explained

We have reimagined our ADOs Explained document and are stoked about the result. Have a read through to get yourself acquainted.
