數位遊牧的平衡與探索 A Journey of Balance and Exploration in Digital Nomad Life
經歷數位遊牧的這一年半裡，我體驗到各種不同的生活和旅行方式。
有些人選擇將一個地方當作家，建立起日常的規律，然後偶爾再到其他地方旅行；有些人則頻繁地穿梭於不同地方，時而在Ubud，時而在Jawa，渴望將每一個角落都納入眼底；還有一些人選擇在Homestay居住一兩個月，然後搬到下一個地方居住一兩個月，也許再回來，也許不再回來。
對我個人而言，在海南經歷了每周更換住處的方式後，我發現在邊旅行邊工作的狀態下，我並不太喜歡過於頻繁的生活環境變化。因為每到一個新的地方，總是充滿新鮮感，想要探索一番，擔心一旦錯過就再也看不到了。此時，我的精力常常被「下一個地方要去哪？」、「要在這待幾天？」、「簽證會不會過期？」等問題所佔據，很難有時間靜下來專心工作，或者深入自我探索。
意識到這一點後，我決定放慢步調，選擇在同一個地方停留更長一段時間，過著相對固定的生活，衝浪、閱讀、工作、吃飯，建立起日常的規律。我會去固定的幾家餐廳用餐，沿著固定的幾條路線騎行，與一群slow travlers建立更深的聯繫，一起聊天、衝浪、潛水、吃飯、蹦滴，慢慢地探索這個地方。但我也會在日常生活中保持新鮮感，例如探索新的浪點、在不同的沙灘欣賞夕陽、嘗試不同的餐廳，這樣既能保持生活的節奏，又不失新鮮感。
當然，有時我仍會羨慕那些頻繁到處旅行的人，我也有很多地方想要探索，但我需要考慮這是否會影響工作的穩定性。
隨著在海外旅居的經驗越來越多，通過數位遊牧，我對自己的瞭解也越來越深。我逐漸找到了適合自己的生活平衡和節奏，認識到沒有絕對的好與壞。對我來說，向外和向內的探索同樣重要。我希望在旅行時，能帶著一顆平靜的心，而非焦慮不安，好好生活，好好感受。

A Journey of Balance and Exploration in Digital Nomad Life
Over 1.5 years digital nomad life, I encountered a diverse array of lifestyles and travel approaches. Some chose to establish a place as their home, creating a daily routine, and occasionally venturing to other destinations. Others embraced a nomadic lifestyle, frequently moving between places like Ubud and Jawa, eager to encompass every corner into their experiences. Additionally, there were those who opted to stay in the homestay for one or two months, then move on to the next location — maybe to return, maybe not.
For me, personally, after experiencing the weekly change of accommodations in Hainan, I discovered that in the midst of working and traveling simultaneously, I didn’t particularly enjoy overly frequent changes in my living environment. Every time I arrived at a new place, the novelty overwhelmed me, igniting a desire to explore for fear of missing out on something unforgettable. During these moments, my energy was often consumed by questions like “Where to next?” “How long should I stay here?” “Will my visa expire?” — leaving little time to focus on work or delve into self-discovery.
Recognizing this, I decided to slow down and choose to stay in one place for a more extended period. I embraced a relatively consistent lifestyle, engaging in activities like surfing, reading, working, and dining. Establishing routines such as dining at specific restaurants and cycling along familiar routes, I forged deeper connections with a community of slow travelers. Together, we engaged in conversations, surfed, dived, dined, and even danced, gradually exploring the intricacies of the location. However, I also made a conscious effort to maintain a sense of freshness in daily life — exploring new surf spots, watching sunsets on different beaches, and trying out diverse eateries. This allowed me to strike a balance between maintaining a rhythm in life and retaining a sense of novelty.
Of course, there were moments when I envied those who traveled extensively. I also had many places I wished to explore, but I had to consider the impact on the stability of my work.
With an increasing number of experiences in overseas living and digital nomadism, I deepened my self-understanding. I gradually found a lifestyle balance and rhythm that suited me, realizing that there’s no absolute definition of good or bad. For me, both outward and inward exploration are equally important. I hope that, during my travels, I can approach each day with a calm heart, free from anxiety, and truly savor the essence of living.
As the saying goes, “Live like you’ll live forever, explore like you’ll leave tomorrow.”
