UST ANGELICUM COLLEGE COMMEMORATED THE FEAST OF THE HOLY ROSARY LA NAVAL DE MANILA IN THE NEW NORMAL ONCE MORE

By Marcus Patrick Ordejon

The Eucharistic celebration at UST Angelicum College commemorated the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary La Naval de Manila last October 6, 2021. Students, faculty, staff, and school administrators attended the Mass. The school’s Facebook page also hosted the Online Institutional Mass, and it was streamed via Facebook live in the Google meetings of various moderatorship classes.

Rev. Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O. P., Pro-Vice-Rector, was the Mass celebrant for the 6th day of the Novena Mass together with Rev. Fr. Noel Kristoffer R. Castor, O. P., Director for Financial Affairs, and Rev. Fr. Roger C. Quirao, O. P., Director for the Office of Religious Affairs. Online classes were suspended when the Online Institutional Mass began at 9 a.m. at the Santo Domingo Church.

The Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary La Naval de Manila is celebrated at UST Angelicum College annually in October with a procession and an Institutional Mass. However, this year, 2021, since a global pandemic is still ongoing, the school opted to cancel the yearly procession once again.

Similar to the previous year, students and moderators celebrated this year’s feast in a Google meeting. The moderators streamed the Facebook Live in the meeting. Even though the Feast of the Lady of La Naval de Manila was celebrated virtually, the school was able to honor our Lady.
