The Internet has changed in a vast majority of ways over the years. Its history is relatively short considering how much it has progressed in such a small amount of time. In many ways, the internet can be looked at as a gigantic encyclopedia with miniature textbooks inside each subject you look into. There are an unlimited amount of resources that anyone can access. You can find a tutorial on anything from the perfect way to apply eyeshadow, to changing your tire, and even performing open heart surgery.

The other key component to the Internet is communication. In a matter of seconds someone from the United States can be in a conference call with someone in China. It allows humans to stay connected and also to meet new people. The rise in popularity of social media not only increases online interactions, but it also introduces new ways of beginning campaigns or raising awareness to social justice issues. The Internet creates an effective and relatively easy way to reach a mass amount of people. Although the Internet is expanding daily, it’s also making the world a smaller place.
