With the Rebellion approaching in just under two weeks, there are many ways you can get involved. Action comes in many forms and your time and skills are needed — whatever they are.

As a Rebel, you are never alone. If you want to come to the Rebellion but aren’t part of a group join fellow Solo Rebels.

What is there to do?

Before the Rebellion:

  • Paint the Streets: fly-post and “paint the streets” as a chance to meet other rebels, spread the word and make sure the Rebellion kicks off with a bang! Here's a guide on how to paint the streets:

From the comfort of your own home:

  • Join Rebel Ringers — a working group which contacts, informs and engages people from across the UK by phoning and speaking directly to them. This will be needed during the Rebellion too.

During the Rebellion:

There are many ways that you can get involved during the Rebellion.

  • On the ground, we are in need of volunteers for: de-escalation officers, outreach, stewarding, wellbeing officers and police liaison officers. Contact actions@animalrebellion.org for more information.
  • Find out other roles you can get involved in by completing the volunteer form.
  • Host a Rebel: Many Rebels do not live in London. Can you host a Rebel in your home/garden for any time during 31st August and 10th September?

From the comfort of your own home:

  • We need people to reply to comments and engage with the public/wider community. If you would like to join our Relationship Building Team in doing this, email: engage@animalrebellion.org.
  • Share online press coverage using your own account — tag @AnimalRebellion to show your support!
  • Online Actions — there will be online actions! Details for these events will be posted on Facebook. Be reminded about these by following the Animal Rebellion Page.

Rebel as part of:

Affinity Groups: a group of rebels who live local to each other. Affinity Groups work autonomously in the name of Animal Rebellion, engaging in acts of civil disobedience.

UK Local Groups: they also work autonomously in the local community in the name of Animal Rebellion. They are composed of working teams such as Actions, Social Media and Outreach and can organise their own projects/campaigns and actions, as well as participating in actions with other local/national/affinity groups. Find your nearest local group is or create one yourself.
