Greetings Animalia community!

We had a 30 minutes AMA session on 14th January 2022 in the Telegram group, where we’ve bring the community member through the update and progress of the project. Towards the end of the session, we had a Q&A session to answer some questions from the attendee as well.

Transcript below for those who did not managed to join us live.

Bill

Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for taking the time to join us today. Hope everyone is keeping well and safe. Before we start, I reckon we could break this AMA down into a few sessions. For those that have just recently joined us, we will briefly talk about the project so you guys can get a better idea of what Animalia is all about. Secondly, we would like to discuss what we have been doing as a recap. Thirdly, we could talk about the upcoming plans and development for the project. And lastly answer any questions that you have.

So to start off with the introduction, I am Bill, one of the co-founders, and we have the two other co-founders with us today, which are Eddy and Joe.

Eddy

Hi guys, Eddy’s here, also one of the co-founders and Co-CEOs of Animalia. Joe, would you like to introduce yourself?

Seems like he is having some technical problems and is unable to speak. He is our Chief Creative Officer and also one of the co-founders at Animalia.

Bill

Thanks Eddy. The project started back in September last year, so Animalia is about 4 months plus old now — can’t believe it’s already 2022. The idea of Animalia revolves around the meme culture in the cryptosphere. Meme icons such as Doge, Shiba Inu, Pepe, Ape, as well as the familiar animals in this crypto space like Bull, Bear and Whale are represented in the form of a card, avatar or NFTs in the Animalia gameplay. On top of that, crypto-terms such as, you know, traps, diamond hands, pancakes, bags, keys and so on will also be integrated into the game. This would introduce the blockchain world to the new players that join the game and they will be able to learn about cryptocurrency through Animalia. For users that are already familiar with the crypto space they will be able to immediately relate to the game and enjoy these meme ideas!

We aspire to create one of the best NFT games out there by focussing on storytelling, visual and audio to create an immersive experience and cater for both casual and competitive gamers. We try to connect these ideas and develop a coherent gaming experience. For instance, Bull is always representing an uptrend and visually represented in green. We try to implement our Bull Titans in green aura and also reflect the notion of uptrend through our soundtrack that we are currently developing. The sound of Bull will be played in a higher register instrument, Bear will be in lower register and when they clash we will have a counter melody to reflect this epic battle.

Another area that we are looking to further expand is the green agenda beyond the boundary of this blockchain game. We aim to give back to the Earth as well by capitalising the idea of rare Animals in the form of NFTs to raise awareness about endangered, vulnerable and threatened species. Take whale for an example, in this market whale is about hodling lots of assets, but in the real world whale is an endangered species. We would represent whale’s real life scarcity in the form of limited NFTs in the game, and players that come to play Animalia will learn not just about blockchain, but also how vulnerable they are as a species in our ecosystem.

In short Animalia is a meme-fied NFT trading card game, with the mission to introduce blockchain to the world.

I would like to pass the baton to Eddy to talk about the recap of our project from September last year until today.

Eddy

Thank you Bill. So to start things off we had come a long way since we initially started our project in September. I remember we only had less than 600 community members at that time, and we had grown quite a lot since then.

One of our major milestones that I would like to point out since then was our INO which took place from the middle of December till early January. We held our first NFTitans INO sales on various launchpads. Our INO concluded with an overwhelming response. Part of the NFTs is kept as reserve, for team, rewards, partnership and community events. Again, we would like to thank everyone who participated in our INO for the Founders Editions NFTitans. Kindly check our pitch deck for the NFTitans if you have not done so. There are lots of benefits and utilities for it.

Furthermore, we would also like to point out that our marketplace is currently at testing and refinement stage — feature buy and sell function in this first version — currency would be in BNB for now, with the plan to support more currencies down the line — including our ANIM token.

IDO and TGE dates are to be confirmed as we are reassessing the dates to better align with our project development. Currently looking to push it so it’s closer to our Close Beta release of the game as we believe this would be better for the project in the long term. This is to be further confirmed with our IDO launchpads before we can finalise the dates.

I would like to also mention that our development is currently ontrack and we are in discussions with many other potential collaborators

Bill

Thanks Eddy. Alright I believe we can now move on to the final Q&A session. Please let me take a look at the questions posted on our announcement channel. We have some questions raised by one of our community members known as M.

The question is “will you move to layer2 like IMX — which is Immutable X — for card trading or stay on BSC with low tx costs?” I would say there are plans for cross chain in the future. We are currently focussing mainly on BSC but are in talks with multiple other platforms as well as plans to develop our own cross chain smart contract.

The second question by M is “Will card sets be a limited time offer and players need to buy from the secondary market afterwards?”

Seasonal card packs that are released based on certain special events or holidays definitely are limited in time and amount. Players who missed out the chance to have their hands on these exclusive card packs will need to buy from the secondary market.

The third question also by M is “Will you lock card sets after some time so no nerf after lock happens to protect card value?” Joe would you like to answer this question if you are back online as we could hear your mic working just now?

Joe

Yes sure I will take that. Many games went through multiple patches to ensure the game is balanced and we need a lot of data in order to better judge which card required buff or nerf. This is to make sure that the game is playable in both casual and competitive playstyle. If there is a card that is overpowered then it will defeat the entire pro-gaming scene. To ensure a long term sustainability for this game, the stats will not be lockable in the NFT contract. We will need to work with Warma, our game advisor to fine tune the gameplay.

Bill

Thanks Joe. Guys, please feel free to type and ask us any questions in the chat and we will be more than happy to answer them. In the meantime, there are also some questions related to dates for IDO, TGE and CEX listings. Eddy, would you like to answer this question?

Eddy

Definitely. As previously discussed, IDO and TGE dates to be further confirmed. We have also signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the CEX so we are unable to reveal any details here. Please follow us on our social media for the latest updates. We are currently developing our marketplace with an aim to release it before the IDO.

Bill

Speaking of marketplace, we would like to show you some WIP images of our marketplace and some critters design. Joe, would you like to post some artwork onto the main chat and I will post the marketplace?

Joe

Yes, of course.

Bill

Ok guys please take a look at our main Telegram chat. The marketplace is currently going through the testing and refinement stage. Moving on, you can see Chow Chow, Falling Knife, Fox, Shooting Stars and the Ape with a front card template. Of course there is also a work-in-progress recording of the Falling Knife weapon card which will be uploaded to Youtube later.

Okay someone is getting curious about the card packs and asking when we are able to have our hands on that. If you refer to our road map on our website, you can see that we have broken down our NFT sale into phases. By the end of this quarter we will be releasing our Phase 2 NFT. And in this Phase 2 stage, we will be releasing a number of critters which we will announce when we have more details. In terms of bulls, we are still deciding which species to release, and in terms of bears, we are currently developing polar bears to be our next NFTitan.

Let’s take a few more questions and call it here as I am conscious of the time.

Eddy

Yes, it sounds like a good plan. Looking at the chat, Sfxfox is asking if the Titans NFT is limited in supply? Yes, it only has a max total supply of 8,700 NFTitans where we will release them in 4 phases. The first phase which we did earlier on was for our Founders Edition NFTitans which feature the Ursa and Toro. Down the line, we will be looking to also introduce other types of Titans species which will have different abilities when it comes to in-game related mechanisms.

Another question we have here is “How will you get more gamers into the community?” For our marketing strategies and development we will be looking into different types of users. As a start currently we will be focusing more towards crypto related users and investors. As for games we will be partnering up with some twitch streamers to get them to test and play our Game demo when it is out.

Bill

Looks like there are a few more questions. Let’s just answer them as well. Will the new NFTitans be limited as well. Yes it will be limited. How many cards in a card park — this is to be announced when the details are finalised. Utility of $Anim outside marketplace? Eddy?

Eddy

$Anim will of course be used in the marketplace as the native token. $Anim will also be used in our Staking feature. And definitely $Anim will also be used in our governance model.

Bill
Thanks Eddy. Balance is asking which platforms the game will be available. Our focus now is to develop the game on Windows PC and once that is officially released we will be looking into the development of Animalia to support Mac and mobile. The last question here is “What about the marketplace? This was answered by Eddy earlier. Can we create our own NFT? Yes, as an NFT trading card game we would like to champion artists as one of the most important contributors in the NFT blockchain scene. There will be a workshop where artists will be able to submit their own artwork which will go through a curation process to ensure that the aesthetic direction aligns with the game, and pass on to the community to vote through a governance model to be finally listed on our marketplace as well as to be played in the game.

Alright I think that’s about it for today. Would like to thank everyone once again for joining us today. We will try to host more AMAs to provide updates as to what we are currently doing, and also to talk to you guys! Thanks guys!

Eddy

Thanks guys. Thank you!

Joe
Thank you.
