Here’s the short Answer:
As far as things stand, it’s impossible.
And this is coming from someone who’s an optimist. AND someone who loves DBZ.
Dragon Ball as a “live action” movie has always been a bad idea for one GOOD reason….
It’s impossible to take something animated like DBZ, turn it into a “realistic” film, pull off all the crazy effects and make it look good.
At some point, the more realistic an animated film becomes, the more you have to “dilute it” and strip away everything that makes an anime possible in the first place.
So unless technology drastically improves (if that even makes sense), it’s destined to be half-assed no matter how you do it.
Live Action is better suited for anime shows like Toradora (a romance) without all the supernatural elements and superpowers to complicate things.
