INTRODUCTION

I started Anime Thoughts exactly 3 years ago, on this day.

3 years… Wow…

What started as a creative outlet during the height of the pandemic became something I consistently stuck with for these years.

Compared to the first two years, I probably watched the least anime in 2023.

Priorities changed, traumas that I didn’t know were there, surfaced, chapters ended, but new doors have opened as well.

UNIFYING THEME

I’ve written very few anime articles last year, but all in all, most of my writings talk about the reality that when one chapter closes, a new story begins.

To further my point, just last year:

Ash left Pokemon after 25 years as its main protagonist.

The World Health Organization declared the end of COVID-19 as a Global Health Emergency.

My brother married the love of his life, moved out of home, and started anew.

I landed my dream job, after years of failed attempts.
