INTRODUCTION

Honestly, I can’t say Death Parade was a delightful watch. It talks about fear and regret — sensitive topics that can be triggering. However, I laud it for its attempt at digging into the rawest and most primitive of human emotions.

In this series, we saw people drooling from rage, bawling their eyes from regret, and yearning to have one more chance at something they took for granted.

Though disturbing and off-putting, this is definitely something anime fans wouldn’t want to miss. Feelings of anger, sadness, and yearning are universally relatable, and this show executed those themes with utmost respect and realism.

What happens when you push someone to their limits? Can you say that violent reactions arising from strong emotions define a person?

PLOT
