INTRODUCTION/PLOT

Higehiro blew my expectations. Based on the title, I thought it would be about a silly relationship between a high schooler and a 26-year old man. I’m glad I was mistaken.

The title itself summarizes the plot. After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway. It began with Yoshida confessing his feelings to his boss and love interest, Airi Gotou. Unfortunately, his confession ended up in a bitter rejection.

Drunk and upset on the way home, he found a high school girl sitting on the roadside. The girl, with nowhere to stay the night, seduced Yoshida. Despite rejecting her biddings, he invited her to his apartment.

The following morning, the girl introduced herself as Sayu Ogiwara. She revealed she ran away from Hokkaido all the way to Tokyo. Since she didn’t have a place to stay, she previously traded sexual favors to men who offered her a roof above her head. Yoshida, however, remained unaffected by her advances.

Instead, he made her do decent work — like washing dishes, doing laundry, and taking care of the home. As time…
