Josee, The Tiger And The Fish is a story about a college student Tsuneo, and a girl Josee who lives her life stuck in a wheelchair.
Josee spends most of her days reading and painting until she encounters Tsuneo and decides it’s time to face the real world.
The movie is about accepting one’s weaknesses and using them as motivation to move forward. It’s a story of healing, redemption, and how chance encounters make us examine how we view ourselves and the world.
THOUGHTS
Josee lived with her grandmother after her parents’ death. She’s unable to walk and is stuck at home. Josee has a stubborn personality but is lonely deep inside. Because of her condition, she thinks she has no future.
Tsuneo, on the other hand, is a college student who works part-time in a diving shop. He works hard because he aims to pursue graduate study overseas after he finishes college.
