The Story Behind Cryptie
Hi there! It’s me, Cryptie. Let me tell you more about me!
The stories behind my conception may have been wildly exaggerated. Unlike what most people think I didn’t actually emerge through the heavens in a flaming golden chariot powered by crypto. First of all my chariot is made of diamonds, and secondly I was actually created in more modest circumstances.
I was born in Hong Kong and created by the geniuses at Animoca Brands and RedRobot with the sole purpose of making the world of crypto way cuter and more accessible as stated in the previous blog post.
Target Market.
Not to sound like a broken record here, but just like we said in our previous post I’m to act as the bridge between the many groups of people who don’t normally delve into crypto and the crypto world as a whole.
So with that in mind the kind of vibe we wanna give off is of something inviting, welcoming, and comforting even. That’s when the next step comes in.
The Cuteness Cometh
Alright so I’m gonna list a couple words and you tell me what word first comes to mind.
Kittens
Tamgochi
Plushies
I don’t know about you but the first word that comes to my mind is…
Cute and adorable things attract pretty much everyone. It’s human nature. It’s why we wanna take care of babies because they’re just so gosh darn adorable and I just wanna pinch there wittle cheeks and… *cough* sorry I got too carried away there.
Combining what we know from our target market along with our knowledge of what makes things cute and adorable my creators at Animoca Brands and RedRobot had a basis for creating the cutest wittle kitty to ever grace your phone: ME, Cryptie!
Aesthetic much?
Now that they’ve got a rough idea for their kitty now they need a sweet room for her to chill in. After all what’s a movie star without her movie set. So we need a distinct style/aesthetic that our kitty can call home. In order to find that all you gotta do is look to other apps for inspiration.
Notice what they’ve all got in common? Yes some of them are cute, but most importantly they’re all cartoony and filled with bright colors that really catch the eye. It’s all very clean, yet recognizable with a style of its own.
And it’s not only in games that we find what style catches a person’s eye. Even mundane everyday things reflect the aesthetic many people pine for. From their clothes to even their credit card designs!
People love bright, colorful, and whimsical things. Things that add a dash of flavor when life is feeling too bland. The fact of the matter is that people love fun. It’s as simple as that.
Colour Me Impressed
As my creators got closer to their finalized vision they needed a couple more things before they could really call their work finished. What they needed was something subtle yet prominent. What they needed was a colour scheme.
Nailing the overall attitude and colour scheme of the game is key ’cause it’s going to dictate the personality and the emotions that the game is going to elicit subconsciously. Yeah, it’s way deeper than you think.
The Final Look
With all the ingredients boiling in the Pot of Creativity™️ we find ourselves closer to our final look.
We’ve got our character style down
As well as our environment
And overall colour scheme
And with all their powers combined my creators ultimately had the finalized look and feel for Wallet Pet as well as for yours truly 😉! After countless months of conceptualization all their hard work, all their sweat and tears finally came into fruition! A culmination of creativity and loving labor reaching its precipice.
And thus Cryptie and Wallet Pet (but most importantly Cryptie 😃) was born! Using her ultra super powers for helping the public with all their crypto needs!
Hope you enjoyed my super amazing origin story. I can’t wait to become besties with you all when Wallet Pet finally launches and changes all your lives FOREVER!
