[Archived article] Hello there!
[A note from Anna: This article is no longer up-to-date but I keep it here as a record of my journey. The last time this article was updated was in 2019.]
TL;DR → My name is Anna Skoulikari and I’m full-stack developer and UX designer . 💻 (Oh, and I also have a podcast🎙.)
If you have landed on this page it means you want to find out a bit more about me! Wonderful, let’s get started!
So, you may or may not have met me in real life (or irl as kids call it these days). If you have, you will have noticed my American accent 🇺🇸.
Don’t be fooled though 😮! I am not from the States, I am merely a European 🇪🇺 with an American accent.
How is this possible you may ask?
Well, let me show you with the aid of this map:
Oh wait, I said I would explain the American accent, didn’t I? Well, I went to an international school so I am one of those kids.
So now that we have cleared up what my geographic history 🌍 has been, let’s take a look at my professional narrative 💼.
Most recently, I have trained as a Fullstack (MERN) developer. Here’s a video 📹 about the app that I built during my training:
But, I am also a UX designer 👩🎨. Here’s a video I had made about me as a UX designer back when I had finished my training in that!
Finally, I also mentioned a podcast 🎙 didn’t I ?
It’s called the Nameless Podcast and it’s just about people’s journeys in life. I decided to make the first season about Women in Tech, since I am a women and I am in tech (original, I know).

All right, since I like to spend way too much time in Sketch (that’s the designer in me) I also created this timeline! It outlines some of the highlights and main turning points of my professional journey from bright-eyed high schooler, to economics undergrad, to service designer at a fancy arts school to rebranding myself as a UX designer and ultimately deciding to learn to code as well specialising becoming a Fullstack developer:
Finally, this article would not be complete without my React-themed CV 🤓
Thank you so much for checking all of this out! If you haven’t yet gotten the chance I would recommend:
