Open Door, Brittany, Henri Matisse

~
.

let the door open your eyes,
gently, step outside,
oblivious to the nouns
and adjectives that want
to flood your mind,
let words ripen
within your silence,
the stillness of being

feel what you see —
slowly, take it all in,
let it arrange itself
just as it is, now
you are the creator

find yourself
where words stay
behind the threshold
and you are an open door
