Fragility

Fragility is as immense
as what sparks a crack
is
small,
unexpected,
revealing
the breadth and depth
of vulnerability
in this human
form.

What breaks
us is as invisible
as unwritten words,
quiet as unplaced calls,
tiny as microscopic cells.

When fault lines are visible,
will we continue to
objectify ourselves?

Turn inward.

I think about thinking
in this great big pause
and ask questions,
then question
the questions.

I stop and listen
to the magnificence
of my heart beating
in this fragile silence.

What is this one wild
and precious life for?

What is fair?
Can some win
without others losing?
