Celebrating 100 Years of the Mountain Play, 1913–2013

Please join the Anne T. Kent California Room and partners for a series of special events and exhibits in commemoration of the first 100 years of the Mountain Play, a Marin County tradition since 1913.
Mountain Play Exhibit, Marin History Museum: The Marin History Museum in partnership with the Anne T. Kent California Room and the Mountain Play Association invite you to a special exhibit on the history of the Mountain Play at the Museum’s History Center at 1026 Court St., San Rafael. Featured are costumes, set designs, props, photographs, programs, tickets and more. Book-signing with Elizabeth Ptak on April 25th from 6–8pm. Exhibit on display until June 13th, 2013.
Mountain Play Exhibit at the Anne T. Kent California Room: Please stop by to visit the Anne T. Kent California Room’s Mountain Play exhibit at the Civic Center Library. The Anne T. Kent California Room is the repository of the Mountain Play Association’s archive from 1913–1972. Our current exhibit features historic photographs and ephemera from 1913–1949.
The Mountain Play’s The Thing: Audio-visual presentation by historian Fred Runner in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Mountain Play including the key role played by the West Point Inn as the audience hiked up Mt. Tamalpais or stepped off of the Mt. Tamalpais Scenic Railway. Thursday, June 20th at 12 noon in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 3501 Civic Center Dr., San Rafael, Room 330.
