The California Room is reaching out to the community seeking source materials to document the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic for future generations.

We plan to begin presenting a collection of digital photos, videos & stories later this year on the California Room’s Digital Archive.

We are collecting both digital and analog materials. We welcome any photographs; ephemera (ie: mailers, flyers, pamphlets signs); audio or video materials that document the historic moment in which we are living.

Please save the ephemera to pass along to us once we’re back onsite which we hope will be later this summer; we’ll keep you posted!

Digital materials such as photographs and audio/video, require this accompanying metadata:

  • Any additional information to understand and interpret the item.
  • In submitting these photos, documents, or other digital files to the Anne T. Kent California Room, Marin County Free Library, you agree that they may be used for online publication, now and in the future. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be publicly identified using full names.

If you’d like to contribute something, please reach out to California Room Digital Archivist Carol Acquaviva (cacquaviva@marincounty.org).

Thank you for helping us to document this historic moment!
