Re-scheduled for November 6, 2017: Marin Revealed through Historic Maps

Dewey Livingston at the Anne T. Kent California Room’s Map & Special Collections Annex.

Due to the recent fire emergencies we were forced to cancel Dewey Livingston’s scheduled talk last Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Now for the good news. Dewey’s talk has been rescheduled for Monday evening, November 6, 2017 at 6:30 pm.

The talk will be held at our new Map & Special Collections facility at Marin Commons in San Rafael: 1600 Los Gamos, Suite 182. Park at the parking lot adjacent to the freeway and enter through Lobby B; Suite 182 is to your left after you enter.

Dewey’s talk illustrates how our landscape and communities have changed over time. He will be overlaying maps, aerial photos and historic views, showing us where marshes have been filled in; where landing docks and Rancho-era landmarks were located and much more.

We hope you all can make it!
